Can You Reverse (And Prevent) Sun Damage To Your Skin Causing Premature Skin Ageing?

As you age your skin ages with you. Whilst there’s nothing that you can do about getting older there are several factors that bear more directly on the state, and the look, of your skin than just about anything else. Reverse these factors and your skin will thank you for it. One of the most potent ways to damage your looks is by excessive skin sun damage. This isn’t good for your skin care.

Excessive exposure to UV light from the sun causes your skin to age faster than it otherwise would. If you combine excessive sun exposure with smoking you have a recipe for aging your skin as fast as possible.

It is well known that UV rays in sun light can be very damaging to your skin. Of course excessive sun exposure can lead to skin cancer and this can in turn can lead to death, however not so many people are aware that excessive sun exposure also speeds up the effects of ageing on your skin. This is what is known as photo aging.

It can be a little difficult preventing skin sun damage and improving your face skin care if you go out in the sun regularly. Of course you can always wear a shirt and a hat however it is still possible to get your face burned under a hat, for example by reflection from water. And it will certainly help staying out of the sun in the middle of the day during summer.

Then of course there are sunscreens to help prevent skin sun damage. However it is now becoming more widely known that many sunscreens do not offer full protection from the different ultraviolet rays produced by the sun, in particular those can lead to serious skin sun damage problems such as cancer.

It is possible to get natural sunscreens which come from ingredients from plants and can actually help protect your skin from the damaging effects of UV rays. And modern research is even showing that some of these natural sunscreens can actually reverse some of the damaging effects of photo-aging on your skin.

One such ingredient is lycopene which comes from tomatoes, you may have heard of it. Studies are showing that increasing your intake of lycopene can help prevent breast cancer in women and can also help prevent prostate cancer in men however it is now being found that an increased intake of lycopene will give your skin added protection from the UV rays of the sun and will also help reverse some of the skin sun damage that you have suffered in the past.

Lycopene is not the only natural sunscreen offering benefits to your skin. There are other natural ingredients also offering similar benefits. Whilst you should not be relying on natural sunscreens alone to help protect your skin they are worthwhile to increase your UV resistance, and it does seem from the science that these ingredients can help reverse photo-aging.

Cutting edge science is starting to understand more about the mechanisms of photo-aging, one of the most damaging causes of premature ageing. And modern science is also starting to produce products that utilize the benefits inherent in these natural sunscreens.

For instance a new omega 3 supplement has been introduced to the market which now includes lycopene as an effective ingredient together with another natural sunscreen as well. Omega 3 fatty acids themselves are well known to have important qualities to improve the health and the look of your skin. The make up of Omega3 fats is very similar to the make up of the natural oils your skin produces itself and taking regular omega 3 supplements has established benefits for improving your skin.

It’s important to understand, if you’re interested in the best skin care possible, that you must do everything you can to minimize the damage caused to your skin by the ultraviolet rays of the sun, by avoiding sunburn and by using modern products that make use of naturally occurring ingredients that help benefit your skin as well.

And you also should be aware that new products are slowly becoming available as science finds out more and more about how to keep their skin healthy and looking good using natural ingredients such as lycopene to help prevent skin sun damage.

In our quest to find the fountain of youth, many of us are doing everything that we can, and trying the latest products. Some of the latest products include anti aging creams. These creams have been created to slow down premature aging. These anti aging skin care products come in many different forms.

In addition to the specialized creams, you’ll also find these products that are geared to cleansing and toning your skin, and a whole slew of other products that form a particular line. Within each manufacturer. The fact is, if you are older, you should already be using these. If you’re approaching your 40s, you should definitely start using them.

There is a lot of money to be made in the cosmetic industry, and that’s why they put the necessary research into anti aging. Cosmetic companies know that people want to look better for a longer period of time and fight premature aging as much as they can.

A skincare regime is really necessary to really put a dent into aging skin. Thorough cleansing in the morning and the evening is very beneficial to the skin, as is moisturizing. Without proper cleansing, dirt will build up in the pores, thus enlarging them and thereby making the skin look older than it really is.

In order to continue to look your best at any age, it is highly recommended that you start exercising. Exercising has positive effects on the way you look, including your skin. You will improve on your overall health, get more fit and reduce the risk of you becoming ill.

It’s important that you understand the right ways to exercise. This will help you to achieve results that you are looking for. If you really don’t know how to exercise properly, your efforts may be wasted. Perhaps it would be best if you go for personal training from a fitness trainer. Even if it was for a short time, these trainers can help you get fit fast, lose weight fast, and have the best results than you could ever get on your own.

But, these professionals come with a price. Of course, we are all worth it. Personal trainers are not as expensive as you think. For example, they come to your home. If you don’t have a membership at a gym, you don’t have the expenses that most people do. Rather than spending money on a membership, you can use that money towards the professional that can really make your anti aging efforts go further than you ever thought they could.

Why Mice, And Millions Of American Women, Should Use A Natural Moisturiser.

There’s very good reasons why mice should be using a natural moisturiser. And many of those reasons also apply to people, including the millions of women who use moisturisers in America.

The Journal of Investigative Dermatology has published a very interesting study. In the study scientists wanted to study whether caffeine could cause cancer in mice, and as a part of the study each mouse had a moisturiser applied to it’s skin for 17 weeks, 5 times a day.

Although this was not being studied, the researchers were surprised to find that the application of these moisturisers on the skin of the mice “increased the total number of histologically characterized tumors by 69%”. In other words the mice that received the moisturiser had a very significant increase in their rate of skin cancer.

So let’s look a little closer at this study and find out why so many mice, and millions of women in America who use moisturisers as part of their daily skin care routine should be more seriously considering a natural moisturiser rather than the moisturiser they may use now.

The moisturisers that were applied to the skin of the mice were Dermabase, Dermovan, Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream (Eucerin), or Vanicream. Each of these moisturisers contains sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a very common ingredient in many personal products that you may use every day including cosmetics, skin care and anti aging products. It is a petrochemical product which means that it comes from crude oil and it has been linked to various cancers as well as other health problems. The reason mineral oil is used extensively is because it is extremely cheap.

Sodium lauryl sulphate is more well known as an ingredient in many soaps and shampoos, and many people avoid soaps and shampoos containing sodium lauryl sulphate because there is significant evidence that it is bad for your health and can even lead to cancer. But what is less well known is that sodium lauryl sulphate can also be found in many moisturisers.

Of course the fact that the scientists concluded that applying the moisturisers, which contain mineral oil and sodium lauryl sulphate, to the skin of the mice increased the risk of skin cancer doesn’t prove that the sodium lauryl sulphate or the mineral oil caused the cancer. To prove that there would need to be more extensive studies. Nevertheless it is certainly of concern, and may have you sufficiently worried to question whether or not you should be considering using a more natural moisturiser in the future. However there is also one further fact that is worth knowing about the study.

This is the fact. The conclusion from the study, namely that the rate of skin cancer in the mice was significantly increased, surprised the scientists, so much so that they decided to do the experiment again using a more natural moisturiser that didn’t contain either sodium lauryl sulphate or mineral oil. And when they redid the study using a more natural moisturiser they found no increase in the rate of skin cancer in the mice.

As you can see this study suggests powerful reasons why mice, and millions of women, should seriously consider using a natural face moisturiser in the future.

There are hundreds of personal products, many or most of which contain petrochemical and chemical ingredients which have serious health concerns linked to them, and many of which have been shown to cause cancer. You may have used one of these products today, like your moisturiser.

There are excellent natural skin care products available, including natural face moisturisers, which do not contain any of these chemical and petrochemical ingredients and which work extremely well.

To find out more about natural skin care products that don’t contain chemical ingredients like sodium lauryl sulphate mineral oil head

Why Should You Use A Natural Moisturizer?

There is one fast-growing segment of the anti aging skin care market and that is natural skin care products. This includes natural moisturizers and there are strong reasons for this movement away from mainstream skin care products. Natural skin care products are both safer and more effective than so many of the well known brands. Lets examine why you should consider a natural moisturizer.

Mainstream moisturizers, in common with so many other skin care and anti aging products, contain a wide range of chemical and petrochemical ingredients in many cases. A good example of this is mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a petrochemical that comes from the distillation of crude oil. It is found in many hundreds of moisturizers. If you examine the cosmetic safety database you’ll find that mineral oil has been linked to a range of health concerns including bioaccumulation, allergies and immunotoxicity, cancer and skin irritation to name a few. It is found in so many products because it is very cheap.

Mineral oil doesn’t moisturize your skin. Rather it coats your skin with a film of oil that prevents moisture loss. However in doing this it exposes the user to all the health risks I have mentioned, and it also clogs pores of your skin increasing the incidence of acne.

There are many naturally occurring ingredients which are excellent natural moisturizers. Olive oil, macadamia nut oil and shea butter are all natural moisturizers but they are rarely found in mainstream anti aging skin care products because they are far more expensive than chemical ingredients such as mineral oil.

This is becoming more well-known and this is why there is a move away from chemical laden skin care products towards natural skin care products such as natural moisturizers which use safer and more effective natural ingredients.

Some consumers choose to source these natural moisturizers in their raw state and use them as they are. Whilst some can be found in their raw state others cannot and it can be difficult and messy to make up your own body moisturizer or facial moisturizer like this.

However there are dedicated companies which recognize the problem with chemical ingredients in skin care products and which seek to take advantage of this by producing natural skin care products, including natural moisturizers, which utilise these ingredients to produce high-quality safe anti aging products.

However if these natural ingredients are very expensive should we not conclude that the products in which they are used are also very expensive? That in fact is not the case. There is one simple reason. These small companies choose to direct their budget towards product quality rather than towards marketing. They do not advertise on television and therefore do not need to factor the cost of television advertising into the price of the product and are therefore able to produce a price competitive product. Often they include a money back guarantee.

As you can see there are powerful reasons for the movement away from mainstream anti aging skin care products and towards safer more natural alternatives such as natural moisturizers and other natural skin care products which are more effective than the well-known brands and which are safe to use.

However because the companies that make these products are small niche companies, and because they do not advertise, it is quite common that consumers are unaware that these products exist. However when they do discover these ranges of natural skin care products, and when they try the products and discover their effectiveness, they are routinely surprised and usually become a customer for life.

So if you’re looking for an all natural moisturizer the good news is that there are excellent natural skin moisturizers available. To find out where to locate these products visit my website.

The Way To Find The Best Anti Aging Moisturizer.

If you’re looking for the best anti aging moisturizer that money can buy you need to know something about moisturizers and skin care products in general, and you also need to know why the best moisturizer is in fact not a moisturizer at all.

The first thing to understand, even know it may come as a surprise to you, is that most big brand-name moisturizers, in fact most skin care products generally, contain ingredients which may be damaging to your health and which generally don’t work anyway. A prime example of this sort of ingredient found in many moisturizers is mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a byproduct of the distillation of crude oil. Mineral oil is an ingredient found skin many in care products, including moisturizers, and is a petrochemical product. Baby oil is mineral oil. Unfortunately there is a range of health concerns linked to the use of mineral oil and personal products.

You may have heard of Material Safety Data Sheets. These sheets list a wide range of information about chemical ingredients including potential health concerns. Examine a Material Safety Data Sheet for mineral oil and you will see that it says that mineral oil is a suspected carcinogen of a number of organs in the body and also can cause irritation to the eyes, skin and lungs.

Why would any anti aging company use mineral oil in it’s products where it is a potential health concern? They do so because mineral oil is exceedingly cheap, in fact it is cheaper to buy mineral oil than to dispose of it.

And mineral oil is not an effective moisturizer. In fact it has no moisturizing properties, the reason it is included in moisturizers is that it coats the skin in a thin layer of oil thereby preventing moisture loss. To some degree this works but it is far more effective to use ingredients which actively promote moisture levels in the skin.

There’s plenty of natural ingredients that are extremely effective as moisturizers and which work well. Some good examples of these are avocado oil, olive oil, Shea butter and babassu oil, all of which are excellent active moisturizers and all of which are safe to use.

There are also other ingredients used in the Best Anti Aging Moisturizers which moisturize successfully by different methods. A fine example of one of these ingredients is called Cynergy TK which is sourced from the wool of sheep. It actively promotes increased levels of collagen and elastin in the skin thereby improving skin health and reducing wrinkles. Healthy skin is always better moisturized skin.

There are very few products in the world that use Cynergy TK because it is extremely expensive. The mainstream well-known anti aging companies won’t use it because of the cost. But there is one company that does use it and produces the worlds best anti aging moisturizer which isn’t even a moisturizer.

They don’t produce a moisturizer because all their Natural Skin Care products use the ingredients mentioned above so all their products moisturize equally well. There is no need to produce a dedicated moisturizer because if you use any of their skin care products you will get moisturizing properties anyway.

There’s some information that you may not have been aware of that may be useful to you in your quest for the best anti aging face moisturizer. The best moisturizer isn’t even a moisturizer but are skin care line that moisturizers effectively by means of safe and effective ingredients that improve skin health generally.

Moisturisers, Mice, Skin Cancer And Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. Or Why You Need A Natural Moisturiser.

Chances are you use a moisturizer every day. It’s a good idea to take care of your skin and there’s hundreds of different anti aging skin care products available. However it may be news to you that many skin care products, such as moisturizers which contain chemical ingredients like sodium lauryl sulphate, may be putting your health at risk, and that there are powerful reasons to use a natural moisturizer.

Sodium lauryl sulphate works very well as a degreaser. Mechanics use it to degrease engines and because of its properties it is used in many well known brands of soaps and shampoos, and consumers are becoming more and more aware that finding sodium lauryl sulphate in your shampoos and soaps is not good.

What is less well known is that there are many moisturizers which also contain sodium lauryl sulphate as well as a range of other chemical ingredients, many of which are known to cause cancer.

There was a study done on mice reported in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. In this study the scientists were looking to understand better the effects of caffeine on mice. As part of the study a number of moisturizers were applied to the skin of the mice 5 times a day for 17 weeks and the mice also received some UV radiation to simulate sunlight.

All the moisturizers used in the study contain sodium lauryl sulphate. They also contained petrochemical ingredients such as mineral oil.

The scientists were surprised to find that the mice who received the moisturizer had an increased risk of skin cancer of 69 percent.

Deciding to test this further the same researchers used a moisturizer containing no sodium laurel sulphate or mineral oil and this time they found that there was no increase in the rate of skin cancer in the mice.

So perhaps now you’re starting to see why I’m suggesting that moisturizers with sodium lauryl sulphate can put you at risk of skin cancer and maybe you’re beginning to consider buying natural moisturizers next time you’re looking for skin care products.

Or perhaps your even wondering about whether you should throw out the moisturizer that you may have used today.

Unfortunately there is a wide range of chemical ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulphate in so many skin care products including moisturizers. And there are also many petrochemical ingredients such as mineral oil. There are natural ingredients such as the oils from fruits and nuts which are known to be safe and which are also known to be effective at moisturizing the skin but these are rarely used because ingredients such as mineral oil and sodium lauryl sulphate are dramatically cheaper.

And there are some outstanding natural moisturizers on the market. They use ingredients which are known to be safe and will not put you at risk of skin cancer. One company in particular makes an outstanding range of natural skin care products and chances are you’ve never even heard of it. None of their products contain sodium lauryl sulphate or any other known harmful ingredients.

It’s about time to consider throwing away those big name anti aging skin care products which you may be using right now and which may be putting you at risk of skin cancer or worse. There are excellent natural alternatives such as natural moisturizers which work equally well and generally better and do not risk your health at all.

What You Should Look for (and What You Shouldn’t Find) in the Best Moisturizer.

Can your moisturizer be dangerous? What a silly question. Moisturizers are intended to benefit our skin aren’t they. How could a moisturizer possibly be dangerous?

Sad to say but there are many chemical as well as petrochemical ingredients which are used in so many of the big brand-name skin care products, including moisturizers, which we all take for granted. 2 examples of these chemical ingredients are sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil, a petrochemical.

Many of these ingredients are manufactured in laboratories and they are used in personal products and skin care products such as moisturizers because they are particularly cheap. Mineral oil, for example, is cheaper to buy than to dispose of.

There is an organisation called the Environmental Working Group. They maintain a website where they constantly update a database of information about so many of these chemical and petrochemical ingredients in so many of our personal products such as skin care products, including moisturizers, cosmetics and other personal and beauty products. This database goes by the name of the Cosmetics Safety Database. You are able to visit this database and search it to find out more about the risks to your health of chemical ingredients used in moisturizers and anti aging products and more, including one moisturizer said to be the best moisturizer.

If you search sodium lauryl sulphate at the Cosmetic Safety Database you’ll see that it is linked to cancer, organ system toxicity, developmental and reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity skin irritation and more. You’ll see similar concerns if you search mineral oil.

These results are backed up by scientific studies. For example a recent study that you can read in the Journal Of Investigative Dermatology was called “Tumorigenic Effect of Some Commonly Used Moisturizing Creams when Applied Topically to UVB-Pretreated High-Risk Mice”. Researchers in this study found that if they applied a moisturizer containing sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil to mice 5 times a day for 17 weeks this “increased significantly the rate of formation of tumors and the rate of increase in tumor size per mouse”.

And it was also interesting that the researchers, (who were very surprised at the results because they were actually studying to see if caffeine caused skin cancer in mice) decided to ask the manufacturer of the moisturizer to manufacture another moisturizer without mineral oil or sodium lauryl sulphate. And when tested this further moisturizer showed no effect at all on the tumor formation or the tumor growth in the mice.

If you examine the search results at the Cosmetic Safety Database when searching either of these chemicals, (or any other of a wide range of chemical ingredients found in modern anti aging products such as moisturizers), you will see all of the studies relied on in the results quoted are there for you to reference.

Although it may never have occurred to you there is a wide range of health risks that you may be exposed to because of the use of chemicals and petrochemical ingredients in modern moisturizers and other anti aging skin care products, it is clear that the health risks exist.

Does this mean that you should swear off moisturizing? Should you avoid all anti aging skin care products altogether or is it possible to find moisturizers and other anti aging products that do not expose you to the health risks which you are exposed to by using so many of the products manufactured by the big brands? Not at all.

There are excellent niche skin care companies which recognize this problem with the big brand skin care products and which take this as an opportunity to get into the anti aging market by manufacturing high quality anti aging skin care products such as natural moisturizers using only known safe and effective natural ingredients such as the oils from fruits and nuts.

Of course it is extremely difficult for a small niche skin care company to compete with massive multinational companies in the skin care market, where billions of dollars are at stake. However these companies, one in particular, manufacture high quality skin care lines that are extremely effective and are comprised only of known safe and natural ingredients such as the oils from fruits and nuts. The big name companies don’t use these ingredients because they are more expensive than the chemical alternatives.

If you take your time to track down some of the products made by these small niche anti aging companies, and try the products, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the result. You won’t be putting your health at risk because these products are made using natural ingredients which are known to be safe to the skin and to the body and which are also highly effective at moisturizing. However it can be difficult to find these products such as natural moisturizers because the small companies that manufacture them are unable to compete with the marketing budget of the big players and do not advertise on television.

So the bad news is that if you use modern big name moisturizers the chances are that they are laden with chemical additives which, whilst very cheap for the manufacturer to use, may be putting your health at risk. The good news is that there are natural skin care products available which are highly effective at producing better skin health and which don’t use the chemical ingredients, including the best facial moisturizer.

On my website I write about these issues and offer my readers ways to find safer, more effective and more natural anti aging products that deliver the result wanted without the risks. Find the best face moisturizer without chemical ingredients at my website.

How To Find The Worlds Best Anti Aging Moisturizer.

If you’re in the market for the best anti aging moisturizer then you need to know a few things before you buy. There’s some basic stuff should know about anti aging products that may change how you look at them.

Many anti aging moisturizers as well is other common products such as skin care products contain ingredients which may not be good to your skin or your health. As well as being potentially harmful to your health they are also relatively ineffective at moisturizing. I’ll give you some examples.

Mineral oil is commonly found in a wide range of skin care products including moisturizers, and also including other products such as personal, body, baby and beauty products and cosmetics. Mineral oil is actually a byproduct distillation of crude oil. It is a petrochemical product. Beleive it or not mineral oil is actually cheaper to buy than to dispose of.

Mineral oil does not increase levels of moisture in the skin when it is used in anti ageing moisturizers. It is intended merely to stop moisture loss by forming a thin layer of oil over the surface of the skin so that moisture cannot be lost from the skin.

It is no properties of it’s own as a moisturizer.

Mineral oil also has health risks. In Material Safety Data Sheets it is described as a carcinogen and also described as being an irritant to the eyes, skin and lungs.

Another example is propylene glycol. This is also found in products such as anti aging moisturizers and others and it too does not moisturize but merely helps prevent moisture loss by forming an oily layer on the skin. Propylene glycol is also linked to a range of health problems including cancer, developmental and reproductive toxicity, allergies and irritation to the skin, eyes and lungs.

The best anti aging products that do not use such ingredients are natural skin care products. They make use of naturally occurring ingredients that are safe to use and have demonstrated abilities at improving moisture levels in the skin. There are many well known natural oils that come from fruits and nuts which are completely safe to use on your skin and which moisturize very effectively.

The reason they are not used by the big brand-name companies is that they are more expensive than such ingredients as mineral oil.

But there is excellent news for anyone searching for the best anti aging moisturizer. There are some excellent small niche skin care companies, one natural skin care company in particular, which make outstanding natural skin care products which are safe to use and which are very effective. And because they don’t spend up big on television advertising the cost of their products may surprise you.

Hopefully you can see powerful reasons why you should avoid mainstream anti aging products and opt instead for safe and effective natural skin care products such as natural anti aging moisturizers. There are powerful reasons to choose safe and effective natural skin care products.

Have a look on my website if you’d like to know where to find the worlds best natural skin care products.
