Who Cares About an Anti-Aging Skin Care Review?

This is an anti aging skin care review of the reviews.  What can you learn from reviews, anyway? 

Some reviews will say that a selected anti-aging skin care system is effective, while others will say, the same products caused difficult reactions.  So, whom do you believe? 
Most often when a shopper writes an anti age skin care review, they may not have the knowledge necessary to correctly judge an anti age skin care system.  What they do have is an emotional review of the way in which the product worked for them. 

Having read a number of reviews of a selection of different products, the most important thing that all the reviews lacked was an in-depth list of ingredients.  Without that, there is truly no way to appraise the safety and usefulness of an anti age skin care system.  And there isn’t any way to make an apples to apples type comparison, without the ingredients listed.

This site offers a lot more than an anti-aging skin care review.  Once there, type in the product name and you’ll be able to view a full list of ingredients.  They also rate the products according to the protection of the compounds that they contain.  Very useful information! 

Most people are not aware, especially if you live in the US, that cosmetics aren’t all that safe.  The Food and Drug Administration does not prohibit what makers include in their products, even though many ingredients are known to, or are strongly suspected of, causing cancer, causing birth defects or possess other health risk traits.

The explanation is the FDA does not believe that cosmetics could cause health issues.  Which is totally absurd!  I’d say they have to get in touch with fact and stop playing to the special interest groups who wine and dine them – that’s’s just my cynical side note. 

In case you did not know, as long as the molecular size is tiny enough, chemical compounds can travel through the skin’s layers, and make it all of the way to our blood stream.  Hello, FDA!  There is a whole line of medications being developed to take advantage of this knowledge – they are called trans-dermal medicated patches. 

It’s advocated that you avoid getting an anti-aging skin care system from a manufacturer that has not agreed to sign the “Compact for Safe Cosmetics.” firms who have signed this pledge have agreed to acknowledge the EU Union’s standards for safety, which are way more tough than those of the FDA. 

These same oppressive chemical compounds are generally at the root of the reason behind the adverse reactions that you will see mentioned in an anti-aging skin care review.  Some compounds aren’t especially harsh, but they block the pores and cause breakouts.  Things like petrolatum and mineral oils do not belong in an anti-aging skin care system. 

OK, but if those chemicals are not meant to be in skin care products, what ingredients should we be looking for? 

First, may I explain.  The skin’s layers are composed of chains of amino acid proteins woven into a tight, virtually water resistant mesh.  One of those amino acid proteins is keratin.  So, keratin is a nice thing – something to be looking for, right?  Well, yup, kinda, maybe… 

It is fairly common to read an anti aging skin care review about a product that contains keratin.  But just because an anti aging skin care system contains keratin, isn’t always excellent news. 

You see, keratin in its natural form is hard and not water-soluble.  , to be able to include it in a lotion, most manufacturers employ a process that “denaturalizes” the compound rendering it worthless. 

However one company has come up with a different producing process.  They have designed a process that creates an emulsion called Functional Keratin, which is not denaturalized.
